Llandudno’s Victorian Extravaganza-Saturday 3rd– Monday 5th May (Bank Holiday Weekend)

The first May bank holiday of the year always brings the UK’s biggest Victorian themed celebration to Llandudno. The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza is a massive annual festival celebrating Llandudno’s Victorian heritage. In the Victorian era Llandudno was transformed from being just a small North Wales mining town to the region’s most popular tourist destination. Its gorgeous Victorian style Pier was built and the beautiful hotels sprung up to line the bay. The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza is the biggest festival in Llandudno’s calendar and the town will fill with Victorian parades, fun fairs, weird and wonderful Victorian side shows and much more.   The best seafront hotels in Llandudno get booked up far in advance for this festival so book early to avoid disappointment.

Llandudno Air Show-Saturday 24th May (Bank Holiday Weekend)

As if it was not already enough with the Victorian Extravaganza on the first May bank holiday Llandudno brings you the annual Air Show on the second May bank holiday weekend. The first Llandudno Air Show took place last year and now it is hoped it will become an annual event as it returns for a second year running in 2014. This is a totally FREE display which takes place on the promenade to provide spectacular views. From 11am until 5pm you can watch amazing feats of flying with Llandudno’s very own Air Show.


Llandudno Sea Triathlon-Sunday 29th June

Summer is one of the favourite times to visit Llandudno. The warmer weather and beautiful beach makes Llandudno the ideal location for a summer holiday and it is also a great time for sporting events. One of the biggest and best sporting events to take place in Llandudno over summer is the sea triathlon.  It is the perfect environment for a competitive marathon with athletes pushing themselves to new limits of a picturesque course. The sea, Pier and Orme make Llandudno a perfect place for a great triathlon. Crowds fill the streets to watch the competitors. This triathlon actually won the 220 Triathlon Magazine Race of The Year in 2010 and this year it will host the Welsh Triathlon Standard Distance Championships. The race normally starts at 2:30pm.

Llandudno Arts Festival-Friday 19th-Sunday 21st September

September and the start of autumn are all about art in Llandudno. Wales has a rich history of artistic talent and this FREE festival is a celebration both of art and our Victorian past. The festival weekend explores our history in contemporary artistic mediums and there is always something beautiful and strange to see. This micro festival presents visual art, performances and last year it populated our town with weird but gorgeous and uniquely designed Victorian bathing machines each containing an artistic attraction. Everyone in Llandudno is excited to see what the micro festival will bring this year.

Gwledd Conwy Feast-Friday 24th-Sunday 26th October

This fantastic festival of food and drink is one of the biggest festivals in the North Wales region and attracts massive crowds of locals and tourists. Conwy is only a very short drive from Llandudno as it is the next town over. It is a very convenient trip from seafront hotels in Llandudno. It is also a perfect setting for this impressive food festival. With the beautiful, medieval castle town it certainly provides a true taste of Welsh culture. This is no ordinary food market, with extravagant music performances and dynamic art displays the Gwledd Conwy Feast is in a league of its own. Llandudno Christmas Fayre-Thursday 6th-Sunday 9th November

The Llandudno Winter Fayre is a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike attracting roughly 30,000 visitors over the weekend. The festival is taking place a little earlier in the year for 2014 to avoid classing with yet another big Llandudno event the wales Rally Gb Championships. The Winter Fayre is a fabulous seasonal event perfect for getting yourself in the Christmas spirit before the rush of December hits. With over 130 stalls offering assorted treats and gifts it is the ideal event for getting your Christmas shopping done. There is plenty of local produce and locally made clothes, food and much more. This will be the Fayre’s 11th year!

Wales Rally GB-Thursday 13th-Sunday 16th November

The Wales Rally GB is the final round of the FIA World Rally Championships. The race stages travel through various beautiful locations in North Wales and last year the Great Orme final stage was introduced. It is a breath taking and picturesque race for the drivers and the spectators. Llandudno is honoured to host this prestigious racing event for 2014!


Cariad Ink Festival 29th-30th Nov

This celebration of tattoos is the perfect festival for those who like something a bit alternative. It is a boutique, completely unique event hosted in Llandudno’s Venue Cymru theatre which is right next to the Cae Mor Seafront Hotel Llandudno.
