There are already so many incredible annual festivals taking place in Llandudno throughout the year that bring in massive crowds. There is the Victorian Extravaganza and Llandudno Air Show in spring, The Goldwing Light Parade in late summer, the Llandudno Arts Weekend in September, our enormous Christmas market and parade in November and the annual sea triathlon race which many of you may enjoyed spectating this June.

Now there is yet another reason to visit Llandudno this summer with the arrival of an incredible new event: The Llandudno Jazz Festival. As if you needed another reason to visit our stunning seaside resort in the middle of summer you now have another great attraction to add to your list. The Llandudno Jazz Festival is set to be a big celebration of music throughout the town, with performances from some of the biggest names on the UK jazz scene.

The Cae Mor Seafront Hotel in Llandudno are looking forward to seeing this spectacular new event premier in Llandudno and we hope it quickly becomes a new addition to the annual roster of incredible Llandudno Festivals.

The Llandudno Jazz Festival will bring you a whole weekend of high end jazz performances from over 40 of the best jazz musicians in the country. The festival hopes to follow in the footsteps of other famous jazz festivals such as the Appleby and Titley Jazz Festivals and make a big name for itself in the music scene.

The event will take place on the 24th, 25th and 26th of July 2015 focused at Bodafon Farm where you can find the main marquee and stage.

At the main stage will be the amazing main line up for the weekend featuring an endless list of the big jazz talents including Peter King – alto saxophone, Clark Tracy – drums, Alan Barnes – saxophones and clarinet, Dave Newton – piano, Denys Baptiste – tenor saxophone, Rod Youngs – drums, Esther Ambros – vocals, Neil Charles – double bass, Nikki Yeoh, Dan Nicholls – keyboard to name just a handful of the performers you can expect to see.

There will also be the opportunity to experience all of Llandudno’s fringe Jazz Festival events taking place throughout the town. This event will cater to different eras of jazz and you can expect jazz in dining venues, jazz in Venue Cymru theatre, jazz on the Pier, jazz at the bandstand, jazz on the promenade and much more. There will be other big fringe events at Bodafon farm featuring famous jazz artists bringing different flavours of the historical jazz scene, including some free events too. Art lovers will also want to keep an eye out for the Mostyn Art Gallery’s Contemporary Improvisation sessions on Sunday.

One of the best fringe events without a doubt will be The Jam Stage in the Jazz Gardens hosted by Ed Kainyek. There will be beer and food outlets in the gardens while Ed and other great performers jam between the main stage events. Listen in for a change of pace and you can even call out tunes on any instrument.

This is the perfect event for all music lovers and jazz fans. You can enjoy a weekend of incredible music while experiencing the beautiful scenery of Llandudno. Great jazz, the beach and the sea views are the perfect combination for your holiday this July.

Don’t forget to purchase tickets in advance to avoid missing out. The Cae Mor Seafront Hotel in Llandudno offers ideal accommodation for the festival.
