Llandudno Arts Weekend 2015

Art

Summer may be nearly officially over as August wanes fast but we are still expecting it to be extended with some beautiful sunny days in early September. We have had many Indian summers arriving as late as mid September and have our fingers crossed for another one this year.

Another reason to look forward to the month of September in Llandudno is the return of the amazing Llandudno Arts Weekend.

The Llandudno Arts Weekend or Llawn as it is often called is a beautiful event that has been running for the last two years and has been a big hit with residents and tourists since its debut. It celebrates the town’s historic Victorian legacy and other aspects of our history through the medium of arts.

You will see events and displays pop up all around Llandudno during this micro festival with visual displays, drama, music, modern art, dance and much more.
Llawn 03 takes place on the 18th – 20th September 2015.

The first year of the Llandudno Arts Weekend saw the fascinating custom built, boutique and extravagantly decorated Bathing Machines pop up around Llandudno, many with further arts displays inside. Everyone is eager to see what visual arts will be popping up in odd places this year. The organisers have been hard at work over the last few months putting this festival together and we are looking forward to seeing this year’s programme released very soon.

If you are visiting Llandudno for the Arts Weekend this year be sure to book your accommodation with the Cae Mor Llandudno Hotel early as we expect big crowds for the festival weekend. The Cae Mor offers the ideal accommodation being situated directly on the seafront, overlooking incredible views of the Bay and being near the heart of the artistic action.
