Festivals, Fayres & Llandudno Events

Llandudno hotelsThe Cae Mor hotel in Llandudno is at the centre of festivals, fayres and fabulous Llandudno events all year round.

Llandudno town is a tourist destination for people all over the world not just those in North Wales. What makes Llandudno so popular is that it elegantly combines the appeal of the countryside with the entertainment of town life. Gorgeous Llandudno hotels line the beach. The Cae Mor provides luxurious rooms but also attentive, caring service with views of Llandudno’s tranquil, curving beach and blue sea stretching out past the Orme.

Llandudno has incredible views, walks and all the attractions of a beautiful countryside yet brings the energy of a city with its many famous, entertaining festivals and fayres.

Already in 2013 we have seen the annual Victorian Extravaganza. This spring festival on the 4th-6th of May was a huge success for Llandudno. Crowds come from all over the UK and beyond to enjoy this celebration of Llandudno’s Victorian heritage with shows, costume and music. This May Llandudno enjoyed two events on each of the bank holidays. May 25th brought us the first ever Llandudno Air Show, which was a hit with tourists and locals alike. Planes and parachutists performed acrobatic feats in the sky to support our veterans. We expect to see the Air Show back next year.

The excitement is not over! If you are booking Llandudno hotels for a holiday this summer you can be part of many great events. The Volkswagen Festival 2013 is the next big summer festival to hit the Llandudno/Conwy area. With a beer tent, free rides for kids, bands performing and lots of competitions and prizes it is sure to be a spectacular weekend. The festival is happening very soon on the 21st-23rd June.

June should be a busy time for visitors with all the festivals and Llandudno events coming our way. The Llandudno Sea Triathlon will arrive in Llandudno on the 29th June. This gruelingrace is the qualifying event for the Sprint Distance Triathlon World Championships in London! Sports and running fans should prepare themselves for this display of athletic stamina.

July has no shortages of entertainment either with the All Wales Boat Show taking place in Conwy marina from the 24th-28th July. A week of water sports adventure will be in store for all visitors.

Llandudno is a town filled with tradition and the place to enjoy real Welsh culture with numerous Celtic Food and Craft Fayres this summer and autumn. There will be Celtic fayres selling local produce, local food and locally made jewellery and crafts on the 29th-30th June, the 20th-21st July, the 14th-15th September and the 21st-22nd September.

It seems Llandudno is most certainly the place to be this season for summer festivals and the Cae Mor offers disabled access so you do not miss out on the excitement.

It does not end in summer. Llandudno hosts festivals and events all year round for visitors to come and enjoy. The 21st-24th November brings us Llandudno’s Christmas Fayre with magical Christmas stalls and themes. Right before Christmas is Venue Cymru’s spectacular Christmas ball on the 21st December at 7:30pm and the day after Boxing Day is the Llandudno toy and train fair.

If you love festivals, fayres, celebrations and brilliant events then Llandudno is the town to visit.
