We’re extremely proud to be one of Llandudno’s many historic Seafront Hotels, especially so at news that the town is standing proud against the well-reported rise of internet shopping trends. It was reported last month that Llandudno is defying the march of internet shopping with the very best vacancy rates for towns in the whole of Wales – truly living up to it’s name as the Queen of Welsh Resorts. Summer’s starting, and we would like to invite you to stay with us at our Seafront Bed and Breakfast in Llandudno in order to test out the town’s shopping facilities yourself with a shopping break. We can promise you won’t be disappointed with what Llandudno has to offer!
The town centre- which is under the management of Mostyn Estates- has truly worked hard to fill empty units across the resort, and as such has a vacancy rate of 6% (which is half of the average rate within the UK) with indications showing that the rate will fall even further. That’s 94% of business properties in Llandudno occupied, and thriving. Furthermore, Llandudno is the best performing town of it’s size in Wales, and ranks as one of the very best in the UK. It’s blessed with the sea, sand, and (more often than not) the sun.
Even when the skies are grey (and we certainly don’t think that’s going to be the case this summer, given the fantastic weather we’ve had throughout late spring) Llandudno is full of activity, with the high street not left in the cold by additions such as out-of-town business parks, a problem documented with other North Wales towns with these amenities. Sympathetic design seems to have won out; Llandudno of course having a High Street and two retail parks. Mostyn Champneys traditionally deals with the sale of heavier goods such as furniture, electrical items and DIY products. Parc Llandudno deal with fashionable clothing brands. Both are within walking distance of Llandudno’s busy high street, which has a plethora of independent shops as well as chain stores. Variety is the spice of life, and it seems to be something which has served Llandudno very well.
Staying with us on your break offers close proximity to Llandudno’s thriving high street as well as both parks. Should shopping get too much, take a few lazy days in the sun on Llandudno’s gorgeous beach, just across the road from our fantastic hotel. Sightseeing can always be done with the nearby Great Orme, and the historic pier is less than five minutes walk away. Nightlife? No problem. The Cae Mor Hotel is right next to Llandudno’s Venue Cymru, which as ever has a variety of stage performances and live acts performing on a nightly basis.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the Queen of Welsh Resorts – long may She reign.
