Cae Mor Seafront Hotel Llandudno

Book Soon For The Victorian Extravaganza

victorian Extravaganza llandudno

It is almost that time of year once again for Llandudno. Spring is here, Easter will soon have come and gone and that of course means it is nearly time for the annual Victorian Extravaganza.

The festival was founded in 1986 and has grown year on year to become a massive three-day celebration attracting thousands of people from all over the UK and beyond. The Victorian Extravaganza celebrates our seaside town’s history. During the Victorian era our small North Wales mining community was transformed into one of the UK’s most popular seaside holiday resorts – and without tourism, our beautiful Seafront Bed and Breakfast in Llandudno would likely not exist!

As always the Extravaganza will be held over the first May Bank Holiday Weekend. In 2016 that will be April 30th – May 2nd.

Llandudno will soon prepare to welcome a huge celebration of our Victorian origins with a multitude of costumes, exhibits, street performers, live bands, fairground rides and more. The most popular Llandudno hotels with the best seafront locations will fill up quickly, so if you wish to join us for the Extravaganza please do not delay and book soon.

As a top seafront hotel in a prime position next to the theatre and with a generously sized car park the Cae Mor is a popular choice of accommodation during the Victorian Extravaganza. Victorian enthusiasts and regulars of the festival will be booking well in advance as they are used to the explosion of busy excitement that the event brings. If this is your first time visiting, we urge you to not delay and book with the Cae Mor for this year’s extravaganza to avoid missing out.

At this year’s festival you can expect an exciting array of steam wagons, steam engines, agricultural engines and locomotives from and inspired by the Victorian steam technology. Children and adults alike will love the choice of fairground rides and the weekend long ensemble of great local and visiting bands.

There will also be the usual traditional Victorian style entertainment such as variety shows with music, puppetry, bones and accordion playing. Magic shows will be on offer as well as authentic Victorian sideshows, unicycling, juggling and illusions, clowns and much more.

We expect to see many old favourites among the Extravaganza attractions and currently the organisers are hard at work preparing this wonderful entertainment for us and planning for the marvellous Victorian parades.
