We here at the Cae Mor are looking forward to October as a fantastic and adrenaline fueled event comes to the area. The Cambrian Rally is soon returning for 2013!
The Cambrian Rally is a top motor sporting event and is considered to be one of the best rallies in UK. It has even been awarded ‘Best Event’ two years running in 2008 and 2009 by both the BTRDA (the British Trial and Rally Drivers Association) and ANWCC (the Association of North Western Car Clubs). It will be the last round of the REIS-Get Connected BTRDA rally series. It attracts the best drivers from around the country performing at an exciting and memorable race that is not to be missed.
This year will be the rally’s 58th birthday as it has been running since 1955 and attracting large number of spectators and talented drivers every year. This race is one of several organised by the North Wales Car Club and is a qualifying round of the British Championships! Llandudno hotels are gearing up for the crowds rushing to the town to witness this prestigious event and there is not long left to wait. The Cambrian Rally will take place on Saturday the 19th of October.
The Cambrian Rally is a beautiful race that roars through the incredible scenery of North Wales’ forests. There will be racing stages in areas such as Alwen Forest, Betws-Y-Coed Forest, Penmachno and Conwy Valley. As well as the challenging yet scenic forest stages there will also be the brilliant Great Orme stage in Llandudno. We are proud to see the Cambrian Rally in Llandudno town and the Great Orme will be the final stage of the race so it is sure to be an exciting climax for all!
This will be a defining event in October and you will be pleased to know it is free for all spectators at all stages of the race! If you wish to get involved with the race consider becoming a marshal. Do not forget the Cambrian Press Day is on the 10th of October to get everyone energised for the race the following week.
